Leadership Niagara accepting applications for 2018 class of leaders

Leadership Niagara is now accepting applications for its 2018 class of leaders. A nationally recognized leadership development organization, Leadership Niagara works to produce strong and effective leaders who continue to learn and who are focused on accountability, performance and results in the community and in their organizations. Participants represent all sectors across Niagara, Buffalo and Ontario, and take part in a yearlong program designed by leadership and industry experts.
The format includes:
  • Eleven monthly day sessions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (conducted at various sites)
  • Two overnight retreats in January and June (conclude by noon on second day)
  • Coaching and mentoring program
  • Personal leadership development plan
Leaders will receive a practical understanding of leadership, build a strong peer learning network, and gain knowledge of issues that impact communities. Sessions will focus on self-awareness, behavioral assessments, teamwork and collaboration, change and transformation, creativity and innovation, and other leadership competencies.
"I am impressed with the level of talent brought into the Leadership Niagara program that allows the participants to learn and grow to support our Niagara County community," said Bonnie Kane, Ph.D., a Leadership Niagara graduate and a Niagara Falls City School District psychologist. "This outstanding leadership program has provided opportunities to expand my leadership role through collaboration with leaders of excellence. Leadership Niagara has guided me to strategies to develop my leadership skills for both personal and professional growth."
