39th annual Niagara County Peach Festival 5K run set for Sept. 9

WGRZ-TV Channel 2 sports reporter and anchor Heather Prusak will be the official starter for the 39th annual Niagara County Peach festival 5K Run, set for Saturday Sept. 9, on Center Street in Lewiston. The race begins at 9 a.m. in front of the Frontier House.
The course is flat and fast and will feature Jaguar RFID chip timing by Race Management Solutions, Inc.
Prusak joined WGRZ-TV in July 2014 after graduating from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in broadcast and digital journalism. Prusak is a native of Hamburg.
Proceeds from the 2017 Niagara County Peach Festival 5K Run will go to the Olmsted Center for Sight and Kamp Kiwanis.
Niagara's Choice Federal Credit Union and the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston sponsor the race.
Race day registration starts at 7:45 a.m. at KeyBank on Center Street, with T-shirts going to the first 200 entrants. Post-race refreshments and awards will follow at that location.
