City of Niagara Falls residents are invited to participate in a free voucher program offered through Niagara County to help dispose of household hazardous waste. The voucher program will replace past hazardous waste drop-off events, as the county will no longer hold drop-off days in the City of Niagara Falls.

Residents may bring up to 50 pounds of household wastes at no cost to Hazman (177 Wales Ave., Tonawanda). The free voucher system will run until Aug. 31.

Drop-offs will be held in the Town of Lockport and North Tonawanda this fall.

The voucher program and drop-offs operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to a limited number of appointments and vouchers, residents must pre-register with Niagara County at RethinkYourWaste.com or call 716-439-7250.
