Colorful 5K run at Hyde Park to benefit NFHS senior class
The City of Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls High School and Score This!!! Inc. are partnering to bring a new event to Hyde Park and Niagara Falls this weekend. The Niagara Falls "My School Color Run" will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Duck Island. The color run is a 5-kilometer, untimed event in which participants, or "Color Runners," are doused from head to toe in different colors along the route.

With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in color!

Mayor Paul Dyster said, "We are excited to host this run in partnership with Niagara Falls High School and Score This!!!. I want to welcome residents of all ages to spend the day at Hyde Park and take part in this unique and colorful event."

In addition to the run, the event will include bounce houses for the kids, DJ G-Money, and Ms. Judi's Food Truck.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Niagara Falls High School senior class' ongoing fundraising efforts.

The Niagara Falls "My School Color Run" is the latest example of new events and features at the city's largest public park. The return of tournament baseball to Sal Maglie Stadium, significant renovations at the Hyde Park Ice Pavilion, and the creation of the Niagara Falls Veterans' Memorial, NF Skate Park and the Hyde Park Playground continue to highlight Hyde Park as the community's gathering point, with activities for all ages.

Registration information for the Niagara Falls My School Color Run is available at www.nf-cd.org/news/color.
