Elim Christian Fellowship in Buffalo will be the site of an uplifting evening of gospel music featuring some of the brightest lights in Buffalo's vibrant gospel community: Pastor Rhonda Henderson; Wynetta Hall-Meelveen; Jada Spight; and three choirs - The Elim Christian Fellowship Choir, 1st Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and New Mt. Ararat Temple of Prayer Directed by Preston Brown. The event runs from 6-8 p.m. at 70 Chalmers Ave., Buffalo. It is a fundraiser for Back to Basics Outreach Ministries.

Back To Basics is responsible for many programs in Buffalo and Erie County, including: Buffalo Peacemakers Program, which stops violence between gangs; the SNUG Program, which identifies and stops potential shooters; emergency housing for the homeless; a re-entry program for men and women returning from prison; a safe passage for hundreds of youths returning home from school; a pantry; a restorative justice program and drug counseling.

Admission to this event is free, but donations to this cause will be graciously accepted.
Back To Basics recently received a $45,000 insurance bill - the result of a change in the workers' compensation classification for Back To Basics staff. This fundraising event will help to ensure Back To Basics can overcome this challenge and continue to do its work in the community.
