Foundation will expand community outreach with help of BNMC Innovation Center
The WNY Lacrosse foundation is striving to expand its ever-growing community outreach with the help of a new prime location in the heart of downtown Buffalo's resurgence. The foundation's board of directors on Monday announced it has relocated its operation to the brand-new Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

Within the BNMC's Innovation Center, the WNY Lacrosse Foundation will have the benefit of working in an environment that is designed to help organizations grow through collaborative and entrepreneurial support.

"The Innovation Center offers our foundation seamless operational advantages that will help expand our mission of facilitating academic and life success through the sport of lacrosse," said Chris Mathias, board member of the WNY Lacrosse Foundation. "We have a commitment to supporting students across Buffalo Public Schools through its lacrosse program, and have made great strides with its expansion. This new location will allow us to build upon our current initiatives and benefit as many students as possible."

Since January, the WNY Lacrosse Foundation has been offering lacrosse clinics in Buffalo Public Schools thanks to a partnership with the Police Athletic League as well as Boys and Girls Club of WNY. It's the foundation's latest program on a menu that has recently included offering structured youth lacrosse during the spring/summer season via Buffalo Youth Lacrosse; and hosting a free U.S. Lacrosse clinic with the Sankofa Lacrosse Foundation.

In a continuing effort to expand outreach, The WNY Lacrosse Foundation also works with the Buffalo Bandits in efforts to increase participation in youth lacrosse through school programs and other initiatives.
