Rotary Club of Grand Island: Ringing bell for Salvation Army

Fri, Dec 16th 2016 11:30 am

Henry Kammerer of the Grand Island Rotary Club reports Rotary bell ringing at the Grand Island Tops Markets collected $1,451.13 in two days.

Kammerer said he received the total from Maj. Celestin Nkounkou of the Tonawanda Salvation Army, for whom Rotarians, Grand Island High School Interact students and Huth Road and Kaegebein elementary school Early Act students volunteered Saturday and Sunday.

Kammerer said "those students, both young and older, are the real key to getting the attention (and dollars) from Tops shoppers."
