Buffalo Actor David Lundy plays Harry Truman in one-man show 'Give 'Em Hell Harry!'

Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz recently enjoyed a visit with "Harry Truman," the nation's 33rd president, as portrayed by Buffalo actor David Lundy.

Lundy stars as President Truman in the one-man production of "Give 'Em Hell Harry!", appearing at Buffalo's New Phoenix Theater for two weekends beginning Oct. 20. The play follows Truman as he reminisces with both humor and drama about (among other things) his early political life, his place in history, the atomic bomb and the end of WW II, as well as his interactions with numerous historical figures, including Winston Churchill and Joseph McCarthy. Poloncarz and Lundy enjoyed a robust conversation on contemporary and historical events and politics.

The New Phoenix Theater is located at 95 Johnson Park, Buffalo. The show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening for the last two weekends of the month. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 716-853-1443.
