Lyrics by Tim Rice, and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber

The Stella Niagara stage explodes with Theatre in the Mist's staging of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." This international smash hit plays from Sept. 23 through Oct. 9.

The first full-length musical by the legendary theatrical team of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, "Joseph" is a visually grand, comic and colorful journey through the Bible story of young Joseph. His brothers sell him him into slavery after his father favors with a gorgeous colored cloak. His gift of prophecy saves him from an uncertain fate and helps him to rescue Egypt from famine.

Animated with a high-energy mix of music and dancing from '50s rock to calypso to country, this show is hailed for its family-friendly storyline, universal themes and catchy music.

Described as a high-voltage extravaganza, "Joseph" includes such classic songs as the contemplative "Any Dream Will Do," the Caribbean-infused "Benjamin Calypso," the dazzling "Jacob and Sons/Joseph's Coat," the rockabilly sensation "Song of the King," and the unforgettable "Go, Go, Go Joseph."

Anthony LaFornara stars in the title role with Lewiston native Amy Teal and Sára Kovácsi as The Narrators. "Joseph" boosts a cast of more than 40 performers of every age, shape and size from all over Western New York.

The creative team for "Joseph" includes the TANYS Award-winning director-choreographer Joey Bucheker, music director Susan Shaw, scenic designer Tracey Pici, stage manager Emily Pici, costume designer Adam Wall and lighting designer Ryan Scarfone.
