Ortt delivers a total of $62,500 to Niagara County libraries

New York State Sen. Rob Ortt delivered a total of $62,500 Wednesday to public libraries throughout the western portion of Niagara County. The senator secured the funds as part of this year's state budget. The money can be used to assist with educational services and programming, purchasing materials, renovations, operations, or events that serve the community.

The amount of Senate grant money to the county libraries is as follows:

  • Lewiston Public Library - $20,000
  • Niagara Falls Public Library - $20,000
  • North Tonawanda Public Library - $7,500
  • Ransomville Free Library - $5,000
  • Sanborn-Pekin Free Library - $5,000
  • Youngstown Free Library - $5,000

The area library directors came together at the Lewiston Public Library for a ceremonial check presentation.
