Ethel Reardon, formerly of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Oak Leaf Manor Personal Care Home, Landisville, Pennsylvania.
She was born in Queens, New York, on Sept. 15, 1932. She is the wife of the late John Reardon and daughter of the late Nelson and Ethel Vogel.
Reardon grew up on Long Island, attended Hempstead High School and continued with two years of college at Green Mountain College in Vermont. She lived with her husband and three children in Commack, New York, for nearly 40 years before moving to Lewiston in 1995.
Reardon was a homemaker, loving mother and wife. She was an avid Yankees fan, loved the beach, reading, doing puzzles, gardening and was a chocolate lover.
She is survived by two sons: John J. (late Glenda) Reardon and Richard T. (Lisa) Reardon; one daughter, Carolyn (Don) Beneson; six grandchildren: Ryan (Melissa) Reardon, Michael (Alesha) Reardon, Kimberly (Paul) Sokolofsky, Jay and Amy Beneson, and Michelle Reardon; and five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Logan, Luke, Zinnea and Jack.
Her family will be present at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, Pennsylvania. Father Walter Guzman will be the Mass celebrant.
