Rotary International chartered the Rotary Club of Niagara County Central on June 23, 1987. Twenty-nine years later, the club is still active and supportive in the community.
Dave Evans and Brenton McKenzie Jr. were recently accepted as new members into the club. For 37 years, Evans was a dedicated, active leader in the Rotary Club of the Tonawandas, which ceased operations in June. McKenzie is an agency owner of Farmers Insurance in Niagara Falls. Both members believe in giving back to their community.
New members are always welcome. Those interested in joining the club can attend one of its breakfast meetings, held at 7:15 a.m. every Thursday at the Olympia Restaurant, 3312 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda.
