Better Business Bureau, Niagara SBDC, Niagara USA Chamber team up with elected officials, technology experts to present free cyber security event for small businesses

By AT&T

Did you know 60 percent of small businesses that experience a cyber security or data breach will fail within six months of an attack? Have you ever thought about what you would do if it happened to your business? That is what every business, small or big, should be asking internally - and have a recovery plan ready to put into practice if it does happen.

So says AT&T, which announced "Cyber Security: Is your business protected?", a free event taking place from 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Niagara County Community College, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn (Building F, parking lot 1). Attendees will hear from industry experts on topics such as data security, cyber attacks, insurance, securing mobile devices and disposing of old devices.

The event is presented by Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York, Niagara Small Business Development Center, the Niagara USA Chamber, state Sen. Rob Ortt and Congressman Chris Collins. Scheduled presenters include cyber security experts from AT&T, Digits LLC, law enforcement, Lawley Insurance and Lincoln Archives.

To register for the free event, visit www.bbbupstateny.org/cybersecurity-event-registration/ or call 716-558-7976.
