Heart of Niagara holds two adoption events in Lockport

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs Lacie and Sugar from 5-9 p.m. tonight with a booth at the "Mom's Night Out Vendor Fair" at The Kenan Center, 433 Locust St. HON will visit Tractor Supply, 6015 S. Transit Road, Lockport (next to Lockport Athletic & Fitness and Flips Gymnastics), from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow.

At both events, volunteers will have information about the adoption process, volunteering and upcoming events. New volunteers are welcome. Donations of Purina One and Science Diet dog foods, paper towels, blankets and comforters will be gratefully accepted.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, the rescue has adopted out about 400 animals. It operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.
