Town of Niagara Lions to host 'Bowling for Sight' event

Fri, Apr 22nd 2016 10:40 am

The Town of Niagara Lions Club will host its annual "Bowling for Sight" event Saturday, April 30, at the Bowl-O-Drome Lanes at 2712 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.

Registration is at noon and bowling kicks off at 1 p.m.

Bowlers are asked, but not required, to wear eyeglasses that mimic various vision impairments to remind everyone of what the visually impaired deal with daily.

The event will include two games of bowling, shoes, pizza and pop. All participants will have a chance to win a picture frame with a $100 bill - no bowling skills are required to win.

This family-oriented event is $25 per person.

The Town of Niagara Lions Club has served the community since 1953. It helps the visually impaired see better, providing eye screenings for children to detect possible vision problems.
