It's not easy to walk a mile in her heels. It's also not easy to leave a relationship involving domestic violence or to heal from a sexual assault.
The YWCA Niagara Frontier invites readers to come and show their support, raise awareness and empower others to say "No more" at the second annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. The event benefits the YWCA domestic violence prevention and education programs.
It takes place Saturday, April 16, at 32 Cottage St., Lockport. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The walk is from noon until 12:50 p.m. Awards/presentations take place at 1 p.m.
