Community Missions Inc. will hold its 19th annual "Sweetheart Dinner" on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls to raise awareness and funds for the agency's crisis services programs.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with basket viewing and cocktail hour. During this time, guests can purchase basket, raffle and 50/50 tickets, bid on silent auction items, visit the cash bar, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, and listen to live music by Celtic Cross Duo. Guests will also be treated to sweets generously donated by Platter's Chocolates.

Items in this year's auction include Michael Kors handbags, jewelry, a Buffalo Sabres signed No. 55 Ramus Ristolainen hockey puck, overnight hotel stays and much more.

Event proceeds benefit the agency's crisis services programs, which include the Community Soup Kitchen, food pantry, clothes closet and emergency housing shelter. In 2015, Community Missions provided more than 86,000 meals and 10,000 nights of care.

Special thanks to event chairs Joe Ruggiero of the Buffalo Police Department and Jaime Ruggiero of Jobena Bar Essentials for all their hard work, and to event sponsors National Fuel, Calspan, Lawley, Fallon Health Weinberg, Niagara County Community College, Calamar, Buffalo Alarm, LocalEdge and Jobena Bar Essentials.
