The Grand Island Lions collect used eyeglasses to help individuals in need of sight correction all over the world.
The Lions can use any complete pair of eyeglasses and, in addition, all types of sunglasses, including non-prescription and post-surgical glasses.
Collection boxes can be found at Town Hall, Knights of Columbus Mary Star of the Sea Hall on Whitehaven Road, Grand Island Optical, Trinity United Methodist Church, the Golden Age Center, the Grand Island Memorial Library, Elderwood at Grand Island (2850 Grand Island Blvd.), RealtyUSA (2139 Grand Island Blvd.) and the office of Dr. Fred Ruocco (2896 Grand Island Blvd.).
