The Youngstown Lions Club's annual Holiday Lighting Contest will take place in the Village of Youngstown and the Town of Porter the evening of Friday, Dec. 11.
Sponsored by the Youngstown Lions, club members will judge home decorations from the areas of Lower River Road to Porter Center Road, from Lake Road to Porter town line, and in Youngstown. Area residents are invited to participate.
Entries will be based on originality, creativity and Christmas/holiday spirit. Three prizes are being offered: First place is a $75 gift card; second place earns a $50 gift card; and third place lands a $25 gift card.
Homes that have won over the past three years are not eligible for this year's contest.
All decisions of the judges will be final.
