Senator secures funds for educational programs, equipment and supplies
On Thursday, State Sen. Rob Ortt presented a ceremonial check to the Old Fort Niagara Association in the amount of $15,000. He secured the funding for Old Fort Niagara as part of this year's state budget.
The historic military fort will use the money for equipment, such as props for exhibits or re-enactments, supplies and interactive educational programs to teach visitors of all ages the history of the Niagara Region in the 18th century.
