Niagara County Office for the Aging to host health fair

The third annual "Niagara County Healthy Connections" senior and caregiver information and resource fair will take place from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. Doors open at 1 p.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport. The free-admission event is presented by Niagara County NY Connects and Niagara County Office for the Aging.

The schedule of activities is as follows:

•1- 4 p.m. - vendor tables, health and wellness information; legal services information table; care consultations for caregivers with the Alzheimer's Association staff; flu shots (bring identification and insurance information)

•1:30-2 p.m. - Niagara County Office for the Aging public hearing

•2-2:30 p.m. - public discussions with elected officials

Giveaways and refreshments are included. Free shuttle transportation is available courtesy of by Aries Transportation Services Inc. Van pick-up/drop-off points are based on reservation and located at John Duke Senior Center in Niagara Falls and the North Tonawanda Senior Center.
