The Care 'N Share Food Pantry, serving residents in the Lewiston, Ransomville and Youngstown areas, has moved to a new, larger location at 3628 Ransomville Road - site of the former Porter County Mart.
The pantry is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Participants in the food pantry are determined by ZIP code location.
The food pantry was previously located in the Ransomville Free Methodist Church, but, due to the growing number of families served, a larger location was necessary.
Care 'N Share was first started in December 2010. Since that time, the pantry has registered more than 250 assisted families.
