The Lewiston Dance Center just wrapped up its season with the yearly recital. Dancers also attended two different competitions. The LDC had soloists, a tap group, jazz groups, a contemporary group, a hip-hop group and its own Lewiston Dance Team and Lewiston Mini Comp Team participate.
All the groups did well, receiving gold and high gold scores. The Lewiston Dance Team received a first-place trophy with "I'm a Mess." The Lewiston Mini-Comp Team received a first-place trophy with "Sky Full of Stars." The Lewiston advanced hip-hop group took first place with "Animals," which also received the highest score of the entire competition in the team's level. The dancers took home an extra-large trophy and a check for $100.
The studio will be accepting registrations for the fall season and for summer dance intensive and summer dance camp. The Lewiston Dance Center is located at 781 Cayuga St. For more information, visit www.LewistonDance.com.
