Assemblyman John Ceretto, alongside New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, recently announced he will host a free consumer scam prevention seminar at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at the LaSalle Library, 8728 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.

"Technology is constantly changing, leaving us vulnerable to new forms of consumer fraud," Ceretto said. "The most proactive approach to protecting ourselves and our families is attending this seminar, so everyone can get a better understanding of the various types of consumer scams and how we can prevent them from happening."

The free seminar will provide insight for seniors who are looking for more information on banking and ATM fraud, as well as education, insurance, Internet and investment fraud, and phone scams.

"I encourage everyone in the community to attend this seminar so we can get a better understanding of the numerous consumer frauds that affect so many families each day. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 716-282-6062," Ceretto said.
