Multiyear pact tabs Seneca properties as "Official Resort and Casino of WGI"

Watkins Glen International has announced Seneca Resorts & Casinos as its official resort and casino, effective immediately. Seneca Gaming operates Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo, as well as Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course in Lewiston, on behalf of the Seneca Nation of Indians.

"We are thrilled to partner with this leading gaming and entertainment company, headquartered right here in the Western New York region," said Michael Printup, Watkins Glen International president. "This is a great opportunity to promote all that Watkins Glen International has to offer to a new audience, and we're excited to get started."

The agreement links two of the premier tourism and entertainment leaders in New York, and the most popular attractions in the Southern Tier. Watkins Glen attracts hundreds of thousands of racing fans to the region with its nearly year-long schedule of races and events, and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino attracts more than 3 million visitors each year with its mix of casino gaming, luxury accommodations, dining and top-notch entertainment.

"This is a dynamic partnership," said Doni Taube, senior vice president of marketing for Seneca Resorts & Casinos. "Watkins Glen is one of the legendary motor sports venues in North America. Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, the premier resort in New York's Southern Tier region, is just a short drive away. The experience that guests enjoy at each destination, as well as at our Seneca Niagara and Seneca Buffalo Creek properties, brings visitors back to the region time and again."
