Mayweather-Pacquiao party contributes to busy weekend of sporting events at HARBORCENTER

On Saturday, May 2, as the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships near their culmination at HARBORCENTER, (716) Food and Sport will be celebrating one of the busiest days on the sporting calendar with special watch parties for the Kentucky Derby and Mayweather-Pacquiao boxing match.

"We're very excited to continue our 'Ultimate Fan Destination Series' by featuring a pair of sports that will be the main attraction for the first time on our 38-foot video screen," said HARBORCENTER Vice President of Food and Beverage Dominic Verni. "With this highly anticipated match, interest in boxing is at its highest mark in years. Patrons who share that interest are going to have an opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind, Vegas-style fight night. It will come on the heels of our very first Kentucky Derby party, where our entire establishment will feel like the infield of Churchill Downs. It's going to be a great day for local sports fans at (716)!"

The (716) Kentucky Derby party leads the day's action with mint juleps and additional food and drink specials, while guests cheer their favorite horses down the stretch. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in their favorite Kentucky Derby-style apparel. (716) will be rewarding the best dressed with additional prizes. The (716) Kentucky Derby party runs from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Guests will be welcome to continue to enjoy (716) until 8 p.m., when the staff will begin setup for the boxing party.

At 9 p.m. Saturday, (716) becomes the boxing center of Western New York. As the world prepares to finally see two of boxing's top competitors square off, when eight-division world champion Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao takes on five-division world champion and undefeated icon Floyd "Money" Mayweather, the big fight takes over (716)'s 38-foot video screen. (716) will create an experience similar to the Las Vegas MGM Grand, where the highly anticipated match is taking place. Fans who wish to enjoy the match in (716)'s premium atmosphere can purchase tickets for $20 at www.716FoodAndSport.com.
