Erie County Fair seeks musicians for Pepsi-Cola Marching Band

Every summer, the Erie County Fair searches Western New York for the most talented high school students to participate in the Pepsi- Cola Marching Band. The band is an opportunity for students to continue their music participation through the summer, as well as showcase their musical talents at the Erie County Fair.

Applications are now being accepted for high school students. They should have experience not only playing music, but also reading music in their school marching or concert band programs. Students who participate in color guard also are being accepted.

To ensure the Pepsi-Cola Marching band is prepared for its EC Fair-time debut, rehearsals will be held from 6-8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday on the fairgrounds beginning June 9.

During the EC Fair, the marching band performs during the daily parade along with a few other "pop-up" performances around the grounds. When band members are not performing, they are welcome to spend time at the EC Fair with family and friends. With this summer-long commitment, each band member receives preferred parking, 12-day admission and more.
