The Niagara County Community College horticulture program, in partnership with the McKinley High School and Adult Continuing Education horticulture programs, earned the Overall Best in Show award at Plantasia March 18. Carolyn Stanko, horticulture instructor at NCCC, led the group to this year's win. This year's theme combined books and the art of gardening to create a landscape design that asks the viewer about their gardening journey.

Plantasia features themed gardens covering 15,000 square feet with blooming trees, shrubs, flowers, water gardens, patios and more in a breathtaking spring display. There are free education seminars given each day by certified nursery & landscape professionals and garden experts and a children's garden with activities. Plantasia took place at The Fairgrounds Event Center and Artisan Hall in Hamburg throughout last week.
