Tuesday morning, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls of a structure fire at Faery's Nursery, 3170 Ridge Road, Ransomville. Firefighters from the Pekin, Cambria and Sanborn volunteer fire companies responded and were able to contain the blaze to a pole barn on south side of the property.
NCSO reported the fire caused significant damage to the barn and its contents. The exact cause remains under investigation by the Niagara County Cause and Origin Team. David Faery, the building's owner, informed NCSO investigators he had been doing some welding in the pole barn prior to the fire.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature and no injuries were reported.
Total monetary loss from the fire is pending.
