Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at Walden Galleria Mall (lower level in front of Famous Footwear - Lord & Taylor side), Cheektowaga. Photos and information on all the animals are available on the HON website, www.heartofniagara.org, and current updates are available on the HON Facebook page.

The public is invited to come and meet the animals and to find out more about the adoption process, animal care and upcoming meetings and events.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, volunteers have adopted out more than 275 animals. They operate solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.

Donations of Purina One and Science Diet dog food will be gratefully accepted at all events and meetings. Volunteer meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. Meetings are open to the public and new volunteers are always welcome.
