Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce to honor businesses, individuals at 10th anniversary gala

The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will honor 10 businesses and individuals at the annual Chamber Awards Gala Friday, May 15, at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston.

The annual awards gala includes an evening of live music, silent auction and hors d'oeuvres followed by a sit-down dinner and awards program.

Tickets ($95 per person) are available through the chamber office, 895 Center St., Lewiston. The Academy Awards-style evening is held to celebrate the business community and those citizens who help contribute to the success of the River Region.

This year's honorees include:

  • Chairman's Award - Rivershore Inc.
  • Lewiston Business of the Year - Lewiston Music
  • Youngstown Business of the Year - The Ontario House aka "Stone Jug"
  • Ransomville Business of the Year -Knead the Dough
  • Sanborn Business of the Year - KeyBank
  • Village of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - Tasia Fitzpatrick
  • Village of Youngstown Citizen of the Year - Marjorie (Marge) McCollum
  • Town of Porter Citizen of the Year - Tom Baia
  • Town of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - Paulette Glasgow
  • River Region Partnership Award - Lewiston Council on the Arts

The awards are given based on leadership, dedication and achievement in the community. The respective business associations, citizens and municipal leaders choose the honorees.
