Staff and volunteers from the Niagara Hospice Alliance are kicking the snow off their boots and gearing up for the 2015 spring bouquet sale, which will run March 2-8 with pre-sale bouquets throughout the month of February.

Niagara Hospice volunteer Don Meidel said, "This is a brutally cold and seemingly long winter. It's great to be thinking spring as we work with the community on getting this event together and spread some beautiful spring blooms throughout Niagara County in early March."

In 2014, the sale raised more than $20,000 to support hospice care in Niagara County.

"We want to keep this momentum going and growing. We are seeking more Niagara County businesses and organizations to participate in our walk-up sale the week of March 2nd," Niagara Hospice Alliance Event Coordinator Mandy Raff said.

Bouquets sell for $8 each. There is no cost for an organization to participate.

"We look forward to this sale each year, and it's a great way to get the whole Niagara County community involved to raise awareness about hospice services," Raff said.

Proceeds from the sale help support the mission of Niagara Hospice to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time. Raff said anyone who wants to participate should call the events department at 716-280-0766 or visit www.NiagaraHospice.org for more information.

No one is denied hospice care due to inability to pay. The Niagara Hospice Alliance raises funds to help offset costs for individuals who are under- or uninsured. Gifts made to the Niagara Hospice Alliance are tax-deductible and help provide quality end-of-life care with dignity to Niagara County residents. For more information, visit www.NiagaraHospice.org or call 716-439-4417.
