Obit: Milena Cillag (née Popovich)

Milena (née Popovich) Cillag entered into rest Dec. 29, 2014.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Pelka and Nikola Popovich, loving sister of Branka Sciuk, treasured aunt of Elizabeth (late James) Salasny and David and Paula (Ken) Sciog and cherished great-aunt of Robyn (William) Muehlbauer and three great-great nephews. She is also survived by many relatives in the U.S. and the former Yugoslavia.

A graduate of LaSalle High School and the University at Buffalo, Milena enjoyed travel, visiting more than 20 countries, as well as international cooking and culture. She was a member of St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church, Bratska Sloga Lodge 248 and Women Interested in Cystic Health.

Milena will be remembered for her sweetness, love of people and devotion to her church. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m., at the Kaiser Funeral Home, 1950 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island. Internment at Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church, 177 Weber Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218.
