18th annual Sweetheart Dinner will benefit Niagara County's neediest

Community Missions Inc. will hold its 18th annual Sweetheart Dinner Friday, Feb. 6, at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls. Community Missions' first event of 2015 also kicks off a yearlong celebration of the agency's 90th anniversary.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with basket viewing and cocktail hour. During this time, guests can purchase basket, raffle and 50/50 tickets, bid on silent auction items, visit the cash bar, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, taste wine from Midnight Run Wine Cellars, and enjoy live music by Celtic Cross Duo. Guests will be treated to sweets generously donated by Park Edge Sweet Shoppe.

For those who wish to stay the night, The Giacomo Hotel is offering a special room rate of $119 that evening as the event's hotel partner.

Tickets, priced at $50 per person, can be reserved in tables of eight, and include valet parking, dinner and a champagne toast. Event proceeds benefit the agency's crisis services programs, which include the community soup kitchen, food pantry, clothes closet and emergency housing shelter.

Special thanks to event chairs Richard Gunn of Calamar and Stephanie Donovan of Walsh Duffield Companies for all their hard work, and to sponsors Walsh Duffield Companies, KeyBank, John W Danforth, United Materials LLC, Tedesco Construction, Tracy Diina Communications, Calamar, Cigna, Brown Electric, Niagara Sheets LLC, New World Property Management, Independent Health and Buffalo Alarm.
