NTCC announces new board members

The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. announced the appointment of Ron Droegmyer, Barbara Hughes, Duncan Ross and Doni Taube to four hospitality and tourism seats on the organization's board of directors. Anthony Brindisi was appointed to a general business seat. Each will serve a two-year term.

The Niagara County Legislature appointed Roger Trevino, partner and executive vice president of Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC, to represent it on the NTCC board.

"Our board is made up of tourism and business professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience working in Niagara County," said Frank Strangio, chairman of the NTCC board of directors. "With the addition of Ron, Barbara, Duncan, Doni, Anthony and Roger, we are committed to working together to make Niagara USA an attractive destination for visitors from around the world."

Droegmyer is the general manager at Sheraton At The Falls, a 400-room, full-service hotel on Third Street in downtown Niagara Falls.

Hughes is director of travel sales at Horizon Club Tours (AAA) and owns Webster's Bistro & Bar in North Tonawanda. She is vice chair of the Carnegie Art Center and is chair of the promotions committee for the Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas.

Ross is the owner of Arrowhead Spring Vineyards Winery. He also is chair of the Niagara Wine Trail USA's marketing committee.

Taube, senior vice president of marketing at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, recently relocated to Western New York with his family. He has extensive experience in international business development, gaming and compliance and customer acquisition.

Brindisi is owner of The Keller Insurance Group located on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls. The agency has additional offices in Lewiston and Lockport.
