Loving mother, grandmother
Ann M. (Golanka) Tubin, 94, of Grand Island, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, at Elderwood at Riverwood, Grand Island. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Domagala) Golanka. Ann was formerly employed at the New York State Unemployment Office.
She was a member of St. Stephen R.C. Church and the Golden Age Center of Grand Island and former treasurer of St. Stephen's Ladies of Charity. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family; they were her joy in life. She married the love of her life, Conrad Tubin, on June 14, 1941, and they were married for 58 years, until his passing in July 1999.
She is survived by two daughters: Phyllis A. Baker of Grand Island, and Constance M. (Duncan A.) Tubin-Trott of Canandaigua; and a grandson, Jeffery R. Baker of Grand Island. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Conrad M. Tubin; three brothers, Casimer P. (Sandra "Sandy") Golanka, Roman "Ray" Golanka and Martin Golanka.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Zajac Funeral Home Inc., 319 24th St. (corner of Welch Avenue) Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at St. Stephen R.C. Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island, with the Rev. Paul M. Nogaro officiating. Everyone please assemble at the church. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
