Grand Island's McCarthy School of Irish Dance will present "A Celtic Christmas" at the Performing Arts Center of Niagara Falls High School on Friday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m.

The show is a celebration of the holiday season combined with Irish dance and festive music featuring Kevin McCarthy.

For the past 25 years, McCarthy School of Irish Dance has performed traditional Irish dances throughout the community at various events. The revenue generated from this community-wide show allows the parent group to assist the families of the school by purchasing authentic dresses from Ireland and funding many events throughout the year. The parent group also awards scholarship money to one or more of our dancers graduating from high school every spring.

For tickets, email[email protected] or call 716-870-5895.

Main doors open at 6 p.m. for the big basket raffle, with more than 25 gift baskets each valued at $100 or more. Event seating begins at 6:45 p.m. and the show will begin promptly at 7 p.m. A reception will immediately following the performance.

McCarthy School of Irish Dance studio is located at 1709 Grand Island Blvd.
