The wineries of the Niagara Wine Trail are ringing in the 2014 holiday season with their annual "Holiday Happening." The event will take place over two weekends, Dec. 5-7 and 12-14.
Tickets are limited and include three tastes of wine at each of the participating wineries, a collectable wine glass and cork cage wreath gift from the starting location, and a different wine cork at each winery to fill the wreath (one wreath per couple). Hours both weekends are Friday, noon-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon-5 p.m.
Pre-sale event tickets are available for $40 per person or $70 per couple online until Dec. 4. Advance purchase is strongly recommended, as tickets may not be available for purchase at the wineries.
Tickets for this event are valid for both weekends, so attendees may have a chance to visit each winery, collect their corks, and even fill stockings with local holiday shopping.
