The New York State Department of Transportation has announced travel restrictions are scheduled to begin Thursday on the Robert Moses State Parkway in the vicinity of Niagara Falls State Park, in the City of Niagara Falls.

Beginning Thursday, the eastern entrance to Niagara Falls State Park from the Robert Moses State Parkway and John B. Daly Boulevard will be closed to all traffic. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour directing traffic to Rainbow Boulevard. In addition, the John B. Daly Boulevard ramp to access the Robert Moses State Parkway toward Interstate190 will be closed. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour on Buffalo Avenue (Route 384). These closures will remain in effect until further notice.

Motorists are advised the Robert Moses State Parkway ramp to John B. Daly Boulevard toward downtown Niagara Falls will remain open to traffic.

Motorists are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
