The Grand Island Conservative Committee held its reorganizational meeting at Byblos Niagara Resort & Spa on Sept. 29.

Sixteen committee members present represented the 13 election districts on the Island.

The committee re-elected Dr. Kevin Backus chairman of the committee, and re-elected Ethan Huber vice chairman; Frank Williams, treasurer; Rob Ratajczak, secretary; and Ed Niemann, sergeant at arms.

The committee platform stands for a limited government, free market economic development, government fiscal restraint and family values.
