The following activity occurred from Monday, Aug. 4, to Sunday, Aug. 10, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 85 response calls during this period.

Monday, Aug. 4

•4600 block of Porter Center Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; no injuries, one tow. Report filed.

•Joseph Davis State Park access road, arrest. Female, 27, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Bail of $250 assigned and posted.

•Military Road and Upper Mountain Road on ramp, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; minor damages, report filed.

•North Fourth and Center streets, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; minor damages, report filed.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

•600 block of Cayuga Street, check welfare. Female, elderly listed. Vehicle sought not on location; patrol to revisit.

•3600 block of East Avenue, Youngstown, animal problem. Patrol assisted with the removal of a snake in the basement.

•200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, property damage complaint. Statement taken from female, no age listed, who reported mailbox damage from vehicle property damage accident involving a deer in front of the residence. Report filed.

•New York Power Authority, Lower Access Road, property damage accident. Statement taken from driver. Brakes failed on a vehicle, which crashed through a gate. Report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, bad check complaint. Investigation continuing.

•500 block of Mohawk Street, petit larceny complaint. Statement taken from a female, 32, regarding a male, 29, listed as a suspect. Lawnmower stolen from garage; suspect reported in Niagara Falls. Report filed.

•Lewiston Road, southbound, reckless driver. Caller reported a Dodge Dart, white, and red minivan involved. Patrol unable to locate.

•2700 block of Albright Road, officer requested; possible harassment. Patrol spoke with a female, 47. Call reported as a property dispute/civil matter.

•Block Nose Spring Road-Myers Lake, suspicious vehicle. All OK; subject fishing.

•4300 block of Autumn Lane, alarm response. Residence secure; no key holder. Report filed.

•Village streets, variety. Patrol reported responding to 20 incidents from 4 p.m. to midnight related to the Artpark concert.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

•Vrooman-Dutton drives, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 51, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail; vehicle secured. Report filed.

•400 block of Center Street, check welfare at a bar/restaurant. Patrol spoke with a male, no age listed, and a female, 44. All reported OK.

•1700 block of Swann Road, residential fire. Male listed as homeowner notified by patrol. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. on location. Report filed.

•Moyer Road, illegal dumping. Statement taken from a male, 43, regarding a male, 59. Report filed.

•LPD office, missing person/unauthorized use of motor vehicle complaints from the 900 block of Ridge Road. Patrol spoke with a female regarding a male suspect (no age listed). Plate number logged; report filed.

•1700 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stops of commercial vehicles. Patrol reported seven trucks were inspected. Four trucks were placed out of service for brake and/or no load securement violations and 12 uniform traffic tickets (unspecified) issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•1700 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 45, arrested for being an unlicensed operator and equipment violations. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and vehicle turned over to a licensed operator. Report filed.

•200 block of Portage Road, suspicious person. Patrol reported a homeless male at the address.

Thursday, Aug. 7

•700 block of Hillview Court, juvenile problem. Caller reported subjects were ringing doorbells. GOA.

•LPD office, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a female complainant regarding an incident on the 800 block of Escarpment Drive. Suspect unknown.

•4800 block of Townline Road, traffic control. Patrol reports issuing three uniform traffic tickets, unspecified, to drivers.

•1300 block of Upper Mountain Road, counterfeit currency at a gas/convenience business. Patrol reported two $20 bills used for gas purchase. Report filed.

•500 block of Mountain View Drive, harassment complaint. Handled by patrol.

•800 block of Oneida Street, assist citizen. Neighbor problems; handled by patrol.

•200 block of Portage Road, criminal trespass. Male, 34, listed as complainant.

•2700 block of Ridge Road, trespass. Statement taken from a male; one male listed as person involved and one male as a suspect who was placed under arrest. Suspect issued appearance ticket for Lewiston Town Court and instructed to stay off complainant's property.

•200 block of Portage Road, mental health response. Patrol assisted Crisis Services regarding an earlier criminal trespass complaint. Subject, unidentified, taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for an evaluation.

•1800 block of Mount Hope Road, check welfare. Patrol reported an attempt to locate for a female. Subject located by Niagara Falls Police Department.

Friday, Aug. 8

•4000 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a juvenile, unidentified. Male listed as complainant and juvenile referred to Niagara County Family Court.

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, property damage accident-arrest. Patrol reported a vehicle damage a mailbox and left the scene. Male, 35, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, third, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Suspect arraigned at Porter Town Court and released on his own recognizance with return court date. Report filed.

•LPD office, larceny complaint. Statement taken from a male regarding an incident at the recent wine and culinary festival in the village. Male listed as a suspect. Investigation to continue.

•2300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, intoxicated male. Subject given ride home.

•Lewiston Dog Park, dog bite complaint. Male, 29, listed as complainant and male, 23, listed as person involved. Report filed.

•LPD office, aggravated harassment complaint. Patrol doing follow-up.

•Lower River Road, reckless driver complaint. Patrol checked area, located vehicle at Pletcher Road Park and spoke with driver. All OK.

•600 block of Cayuga Drive, arrest. Male, 54, arrested on warrant. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court; bail of $250/$500 assigned and suspect to custody of Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Report filed.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's, agency assist. Patrol assisted EM-Star staff with a male.

•2300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, fraud complaint. Patrol reported call as unfounded.

•Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, agency assist. Patrol reported securing a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun. Male, 48, listed as person involved. Property receipt issued. Report filed.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's, agency assist. Patrol returned a male, 26, to ER. Report filed.

Saturday, Aug. 9

•Niagara University campus, larceny complaint. Statement taken from a male, 58, regarding the theft of a car radio. Report filed.

•Academy Park, intoxicated persons. Subjects sent on their way.

•5100 block of Lewiston Road, check 911. Female complainant, 49, reported receiving alarming phone call stating she was being watched. Patrol checked area with negative results.

•1100 block of Swann Road, missing person report. Female, 61, reported a male juvenile, 15, was upset on being kicked out of summer school and took off. Report filed.

•South Seventh and Cayuga streets, citizen assist. Male, 44, reports finding a hypodermic needle in a yard. Patrol secured item for disposal.

•Lorraine Place, West Seneca, warrant execution. Male, 49, arrested and arraigned at Porter Town Court. Bail of $500/$1,000 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO/Niagara County Jail.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, agency assist. LPD on location with State Police for a DWI arrest.

•2800 block of Ridge Road, harassment. Male, 41, listed as complainant/victim. Suspect unknown. Report filed.

•Academy Park, disturbing the peace complaint. Patrol reported Spirit of '80s concert was shutting down.

Sunday, Aug. 10

•100 block of Lockport Street, Youngstown, agency assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a DWI arrest. Male, 48, reportedly struck a vehicle and left the scene. Male charged with driving while intoxicated and numerous other violations. Blood Alcohol Content testing performed; BAC result, .23 of 1 percent. Suspect remanded to custody of NCSO.

•900 block of Hewitt Drive, criminal mischief complaint. Male, 64, listed on call. Investigation to continue.

•Lewiston docks, agency assist. LPD reported Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours operators rescued a male, 38, from Canada who had been cliff jumping in the Devil's Hole area and was swept up in currents. Male taken into custody by LPD, State Parks Police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and returned to Canadian officials.
