The medical staff of Mount St. Mary's Hospital has announced the recipients of four scholarships presented to local high school students. Staff President Dr. Robert J. Gadawski said the awards were presented to applicants seeking to pursue a career in medicine, and were based on scholastic achievement and community service.
Those receiving the $1,000 awards included: Jacquekia Jefferson of Niagara Falls High School, Bailey Milleville of Niagara-Wheatfield High School and Anna Huebschmann of Lewiston-Porter High School. In addition, a scholarship was presented to Mount St. Mary's employee Christa Bax, who is pursuing a degree in nursing.
The medical staff represents 260 physicians at Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
