Lewiston Dance Center students recently took part in the Fairy House Festival a yearly event held at Artpark. The students dressed in their ballet costumes with fairy makeup and fairy wings and performed their ballet dances for onlookers.
The students look forward to this informal performance every year. Miss Rachel, the studio director, said instructors like to keep the students busy with outside performances. "It is so important for students to perform, whether it be in a parade, recital or something informal like this outside setting. It really helps a dancer grow in so many ways. We take advantage of every performance opportunity that comes our way, and even search them out when we can."
Next up for the busy studio will be the summer dance camp for ages toddler through sixth grade, and dance intensive for middle school and older students.
