Calling all book lovers

The Friends of the North Tonawanda Public Library will hold the 38th annual used book sale from April 30 through May 4, at the library, 505 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda.

Join the Friends of the Library to be able to shop early from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30. The sale is open to the public Thursday, May 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, May 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., bring a brown paper bag and fill it up for only $5. The bag sale continues Sunday, May 4, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Book sale prices remain at $2 for hardcover, $1 for paperbacks and 50 cents for Harlequin-type paperbacks. Magazines are 25 cents each or five for $1; records and audiocassettes are 25 cents; VHS tapes are 50 cents; CDs and DVDs are $1.

Membership to the Friends of the Library is available on an annual basis of $5 for an individual or $8 for a family. Lifetime membership is also offered for $50.
