Niagara County Community College hosted the Western New York ACE Network for Women in Higher Education organization on Friday, March 7, with a luncheon and guest speaker to celebrate Women's History Month. More than 30 members of the organization and their guests attended the annual event held on the Sanborn campus.

The featured speaker was Dr. Karen King, from the University at Buffalo, whose research interests include examining how gender, race, class and popular culture impact identity development and educational opportunity. Her presentation topic was "Media Representations of Powerful Women."

Vonetta Rhodes, NCCC director of the Child Development Center, welcomed guests to the luncheon and presented a poetry reading.
