Robinson of the Monarchs Dance Co. of Buffalo oversee a casting call of models Sunday at the Tri-Main Center in Buffalo. They were preparing for the Impact Artists Gallery's upcoming fundraising event "Evolution ... Wear Art Meets Fashion." The wearable art runway competition will take place Sunday, April 6, at 1 p.m. at the Tonawanda Castle, 69 Delaware St. Doors open at noon.
Sponsored by Impact Artists Gallery, WKBW-TV Channel 7 and wnywomen.com, this juried fashion event will feature area models presenting one-of-a-kind wearable art creations by local and national designers in a runway show setting.
Tickets are priced at $35 and a VIP package is available for $75, which includes preferred runway seating and an intimate after-show party with the models, designers and the Impact Artists Gallery board. Proceeds benefit the gallery.
