House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, a leading voice on the economy and job creation, will speak at 2 p.m. March 10 in Daemen's College Wick Campus Center Social Room as part of the college's newly established Distinguished Leaders Lecture Series. Congressman Chris Collins will introduce him.
A Virginia congressman since 2001 and former small business owner, Cantor is highly committed to eliminating excessive regulation and encouraging entrepreneurship, and has been a key player in health care efforts for families. He's also a proponent of national defense as former chair of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, and is dedicated to providing needed resources to the U.S. military and intelligence communities.
Due to limited seating, reservations for Cantor's lecture, which is free and open to the public, are requested by emailing [email protected] by March 3.
Launched in February, the Daemen lecture series brings top government and public officials to the college to share their unique perspective on critical state, national and international issues.
