A volunteer open house, student art show and the popular "Museum After Hours" event will take place in March at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst.

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the Niagara Frontier.

The volunteer open house will kick things off from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8. This free event is open to anyone interested in learning more about volunteer and internship opportunities at Heritage Village. Refreshments and guided tours will be offered. Already a volunteer? Feel free to stop by and bring a friend or two.

An art show, featuring the work of students from the Williamsville Central School District, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 18. Admission to the event is free, but donations are encouraged. Stop in and check out the work created by some impressive young artists.

The next "Museum After Hours" event, held until 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month, will take place March 20. This event is free to Heritage Village members, $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students.

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, with extended hours for special events.
