Lewiston Police Blotter for Feb. 21, 2014

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 10, to Sunday, Feb. 16, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 61 response calls during this period.

Monday, Feb. 10

•1200 block of Ridge Road, injury accident/arrest. Patrol responded to a one-vehicle rollover into a building call. Female, 19, arrested for driving while intoxicated after a vehicle struck a residence. Blood alcohol content testing done at roadside; BAC result, .08 of 1 percent. Suspect taken to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center for an evaluation/blood kit. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•700 block of Swann Road, vehicle in ditch. Call handled.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara-Wheatfield High School, bomb threat. Students evacuated to Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. firehall while K-9 search on property was done. Responding agencies included LPD, Niagara County Sheriff's Office and State Police. Negative results reported on initial search. Patrol later reported the arrest of a male juvenile, 15, who was found to have called in bomb threats to Niagara Wheatfield High School and to Niagara Falls High School.

•5800 block of Buffalo Street, DWI arrest. Female, 56, who responded to pick up child following N-WF bomb threat arrested for driving while intoxicated. BAC roadside testing contacted; BAC result, .12 of 1 percent. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail assigned at $500/$1,000 and suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Robert Moses Parkway, reckless driver. Caller reported a Lincoln town car, color black, turning lights on and off. Vehicle GOA.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

•Black Nose Spring Road, suspicious vehicle. All OK; patrol cleared.

•Mount Hope and Garlow roads, stolen vehicle recovery. Vehicle secured for ID; investigation to continue.

•2800 block of Upper Mountain Road, check welfare. All OK, patrol cleared.

•Porter Center and Balmer roads, accident, property-damage. Vehicle struck a deer; NCSO did report and state DOT notified.

•2200 block of Upper Mountain Road, domestic. Female, 45, listed as victim and male, 41, listed as suspect who was placed under arrest for harassment, second. Arraignment at Porter Town Court and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO. Report filed.

•4200 block of Scenic Drive, larceny complaint. Male, 59, listed as complainant and female, 57, listed as suspect. Investigation to continue.

•1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, alarm response at a church. Handled by patrol; all secure.

•300 block of South Seventh Street, officer requested. Female, elderly, and male 59, listed. No report.

•Niagara University, two-vehicle accident. Statement taken from one driver; other vehicle parked. Report filed.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

•Bronson Drive and Bridle Path Lane, vehicle/traffic stop arrest. Patrol responded to a vehicle in a ditch call and found driver had fled the scene. Female, 50, located and arrested for driving while intoxicated and various vehicle/traffic violations. BAC testing conducted; BAC result, .15 of 1 percent. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO/Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Locations on the 1900 block of Upper Mountain Road and the 5800 block of Garlow Road, agency assist. LPD on location with State Police for a warrant execution. Negative results reported.

•4500 block of Creek Road, Hickory Stick Golf Course, trespassing complaint. Statement taken from male regarding snowmobiles on the golf course. Report filed.

•800 block of James Drive, animal problem. Patrol reported loose dogs from residence; one dog struck by a vehicle. Town dog control officer contacted.

•Lewiston Town Court, warrant execution. Male, 24, arraigned at Lewiston Town Court on charge of harassment, second, and released on his own recognizance.

Thursday, Feb. 13

•Miller Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Driver, unidentified, arrested for operating while the registration is suspended/revoked. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•600 block of Upper Mountain Road, domestic. LPD assisted State Police on report.

•Creek Road, vehicle/traffic check/DWI arrest. Male, 71 arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and related charges and speed in zone. BAC testing roadside, results, .09 of 1 percent. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•5800 block of Townline Road, juvenile problem. Handled by LPD; assisted by State Police. Report filed.

Friday, Feb. 14

•NU campus, O'Shea Hall, intoxicated person. Upper Mountain transported to Mount St. Mary's.

•Ridge and Model City roads, two-vehicle injury accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 48, cited for facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and issued appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement and Garlow roads, two-vehicle injury accident. Statements taken from drivers; both vehicles towed. Report filed.

Saturday, Feb. 15

•Saunders Settlement and Kline roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 20, cited for operation while registration is suspended/revoked. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•900 block of Balmer Road, check welfare. Patrol responded to a possible fight. All OK; patrol cleared.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's, unwanted party. Subject GOA.

•500 block of Briarwood Lane, larceny of cell phone. Statement taken from a female, 49, regarding an incident at Lewiston-Porter High School. Report filed.

•5800 block of Garlow Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 31, arrested for operating while registration is suspended/revoked and no seat belt, back seat age 4 to under 16. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and MV forms issued.

•4200 block of Eddy Drive West, unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Male, 57, listed as complainant and female, 47, listed as suspect. Report filed.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, harassment. Female, no age, listed on call.

•590 block of Garlow Road, neighbor problem. Patrol handled.

•NU campus, Seton Hall, intoxicated person. Male taken to Mount St. Mary's.

Sunday, Feb. 16

•5800 block of West Street, suspicious vehicle. Female driver reported lost and looking up directions.

•1600 block of Ridge Road, civil matter. Resolved by patrol.

•LPD office, follow-up. Patrol reported vehicle recovery from UUMV on Eddy Drive West.

•2600 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road, assist. LPD on location with NCSO on a check welfare call.
