'Celebrating the Winter Olympics' at History Center of Niagara County

Children ages 7-12 are invited to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the History Center of Niagara County from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20. The program will celebrate the opening of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, in early February.

Activities will include participating in mini-versions of some of the Olympic Games, including a biathlon and a triathlon. Children will also make a souvenir Olympic keychain and learn about African, Asian and Native American athletes in American history. A snack will also be provided.

The cost of the program is $10 per child. Reservations are required. Parents are encouraged to leave their children for the duration of the program. Call the History Center at 716-434-7433 or email [email protected] for reservations and more information.

The Niagara County Historical Society's History Center is located at 215 Niagara St., Lockport.
